With credit monitoring you have the assurance that your personal credit file is being scanned multiple times a day, scouring for any new activity or changes to your credit file. Financial fraud is one of the most common types of identity theft and credit monitoring can help to catch fraud before significant damage is done. It monitors your credit bureau record for activities that affect your credit record such as:

  • New accounts opened in your name
  • Late payments
  • Bankruptcies and other public records

Each month you will receive a monthly communication letting you know whether there is any new activity, reminding you that MyIDCare is always working in the background on your behalf.

If activity is detected on your credit file, we will alert you within 24 hours, prompting you to take action. An alert could be related to your own credit activity, such as opening a new line of credit for a recent purchase – but if you’re not certain, you’ll have our experts ready to help.
